Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Splivio (the "Service"), including the web app and the Splivio mobile apps for Android and iOS, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Splivio is an expense sharing application available on web, Android, and iOS that allows users to track shared expenses, calculate balances, and settle payments with friends and groups.

User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • Create only one account per person

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Use automated means to scrape or mine data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, modify, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Splivio and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Our Privacy Policy continues to govern your personal information following termination, including the applicable data retention period.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Splivio, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice in the application, and we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
